UnZipper has a wealth of options to compete with the big boys. You can repack an archive to seven different formats, six compression levels, and four compression methods. Update modes are available as well as password protection. Beyond this, you will find an additional number of settings you’ll rarely need, but be glad you have them when it comes time.
UnZipper also features drag-and-drop support, something we’re fond of.
UnZipper does not take over your file associations, so if you decide to use it for all compressed files, you’ll need to go to Tools, Options. We think this is a good thing, especially for trying it out first. Of course, while trying UnZipper out, you’ll need to open the program first.
UnZipper gets props from us for being well thought out, lightweight, completely free and capable of competing with expensive compression apps including WinZip and WinRar. Give it a try; we think you’ll be impressed.
